For many children, learning to use words effectively comes very naturally. However, difficulty producing sounds, formulating sentences, following directions, speaking fluently, interacting appropriately with others, and/or learning how to read and write are very real problems for many children.

Communication disorders in preschool children can have a significant impact on their school readiness skills. Communication disorders in school-aged children may be misdiagnosed as learning disabilities or behavioural problems, and can be very difficult to treat in later years.

Early intervention is critical.

With proper treatment, many children develop normal communication skills. Without proper supports however, a child’s academic and social future can be significantly impacted.

I am passionate about helping children master communication. Parents are an integral part of helping their children master strong speech and language skills. Whatever the speech or language need, I look forward to helping your child meet his/her full potential.
